Best Season to Visit

Winter: December to February. It snows a lot and gets very cold. Many roads might close. Beautiful but hard to travel.
How to Reach
- By Air: Nearest airport is Islamabad International Airport (ISB). It is about 290 km from Kel and takes around 9-10 hours to reach by road after landing.
- By Road: Kel Valley is reached by driving on the Neelum Valley Road. This road is usually open in summer but can close in winter due to heavy snow. From Muzaffarabad, it takes about 8-9 hours to reach Kel by jeep or car.
- By Train: Nearest active railway station is Rawalpindi Railway Station. It is about 280 km from Kel. From Rawalpindi, you would need to take a bus or rent a car to Muzaffarabad and then to Kel.
- By Public Transport: Local vans and shared jeeps run from Muzaffarabad city to Kel. Once you reach Kel, you can take a chairlift or trek for about 1 to 1.5 hours to reach Arang Kel.
