Best Season to Visit
Spring: (April - May) Weather starts to get milder at lower levels. Snow begins to melt. It is still very cold at the base camp, but approach treks might begin.
Summer: (June - August) This is the best time for trekking and mountain climbing expeditions. The weather is relatively stable, with clearer skies. Temperatures are cool but manageable for outdoor activity.
Monsoon/Rainy: /Rainy: (July - September) Gilgit-Baltistan gets less rain than other parts of Pakistan. However, some rain can happen, making roads risky due to landslides. High altitudes might see some snowfall.
Autumn: (September - October) The weather becomes colder and clearer after summer. It is a good time for trekking with clear views before heavy snowfalls. Trees at lower altitudes change colors.
Winter: (November - March) Very cold with heavy snowfall. Roads often close, and the base camp becomes very hard to reach and dangerous due to extreme cold and deep snow.
