Best Season to Visit

Summer: June to August. Warm and sunny days. This is the busiest time for visitors. Good for walking and outdoor activities.
Monsoon/Rainy: /Rainy: July to September. Can have some rain, but less severe than other parts of Pakistan. Roads might be tricky in heavy rain.
Autumn: September to November. Famous for golden, red, and orange leaves on trees. Weather is cool and clear. Best for photography.
Winter: December to March. Very cold with heavy snow. Many roads and facilities may close. Less crowded but hard to travel.
How to Reach
- By Air: The nearest active airport is Gilgit Airport (GIL). It is about 100 kilometers from Hunza Valley, which takes around 2 to 3 hours to drive.
- By Road: You can reach Hunza Valley by driving on the Karakoram Highway (KKH). Buses and private cars travel from major cities like Islamabad and Gilgit.
- By Train: There is no train service to Gilgit-Baltistan. The nearest active major railway station is in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. This is a very long journey by road from Rawalpindi to Hunza.
- By Public Transport: Shared vans and local buses run from Gilgit to Karimabad within Hunza Valley. You can also hire private jeeps or taxis from Gilgit.
